Weekly Enrichment Challenge

May 18 - 22, 2020:

Let's Do Some ART!!!

Check PE every week.

Hello Dragon Artists and Families!

I miss seeing you in Art and can’t wait to see you when we go back! It’s ART week! Yay! I hope you enjoyed the Music and Technology challenges. If you didn’t get the chance to do them you can still find the links on the Music or Technology pages. I’ve posted a few videos, after you finish your masterpiece please follow the Padlet link and post your work, I would love to see it! Remember you can be creative……so if you draw baby Sonic you can create a background. Maybe he is hanging out in a field of tulips, an arcade, or on a city street. Have fun and I cant wait to see your Art!  Just click on the word Padlet and it'll take you right to it.   Once there, click on the plus sign on the bottom right corner and follow the directions.

Love,

Mrs. Lamar

April 27- May 1, 2020:

It's Art week again!

During April each year, I like to read “The Lorax” by Dr. Seuss to celebrate/recognize Earth Day and we draw Truffula Trees and the Lorax.  Last Wednesday was Earth Day, so I decided it’s a good time to draw some Truffula Trees and/or the Lorax.   After you do your art, ask a parent to help you post it on my new Padlet.  Just click on the word Padlet and it'll take you right to it.   Once there, click on the plus sign on the bottom right corner and follow the directions.  It's pretty easy.   I can't wait to see your ART!!

Artfully Yours,

Mrs. Lamar

April 6 -10, 2020:

This week's challenge is in Art!

Hello Dragon Artist and Parents,

I miss all of you very much and pray you’re safe and healthy at home.  I hope you’ve had a chance to work on some ART while ‘distance learning’. If not that’s OK. If you haven’t had the chance to explore the Enrichment Website, now is a fantastic time to start. Starting today, April 6th, we will celebrate ART!  Dragon ART WEEK, yay!
I have added two drawing Videos (one for K-1st grade & one for 2nd-4th grade) titled “How to draw a Dragon.” Click on the appropriate grade level video and follow along. You can use any materials you have at home, color your dragon with whatever materials you have, crayons, color pencils, markers, or paint. If you would like you can create a background, or color around your dragon (remember to sign your art!). When you are finished with your Dragon, ask your parent to help you take a picture and post it on the Daulton School Facebook page.         I have also added additional links and videos to the Art page in case you would like to do more ART. Have fun!!! I can’t wait to see your Artwork!!!!

Love & Hugs,
Mrs. Lamar
